Finding the right size for Facebook Cover Photo that looks good on Desktop and Mobile
When designing your Facebook cover photo, you need to be careful because the cover image is displayed differently on mobile and desktop. Optimize your cover photo for the right dimensions: 820 pixels wide and 312 pixels tall for desktop, 640 pixels wide by 360 pixels tall for mobile. Loads fastest as an sRGB JPG file that's 851 pixels wide, 315 pixels tall and less than 100 kilobytes.
The problem is when creating graphic for cover photo, it never turns out right on mobile. This is what I came to find as the best Cover Photo Image size to be. Design your image with dimensions: 820 pixels wide by 462 pixels tall.
**Keep in mind that 75 pixels at the top and bottom of your image will be cropped when displayed on desktop.**
Facebook currently supports cover videos that are between 20 and 90 seconds long, and a minimum of 820 pixels wide by 312 pixels tall. The maximum (and recommended) size is 820 by 462 pixels with a video resolution of 1080p.
